You should have presented your hearing concern well before you initiate a meeting - it can come across as somewhat manipulative and/or decieving on your part.

So there is a lot of "pardon me", "what was that" and "what did you say? It was frustrating for them, however I have gotten very good at reading lips.
If you're hard of hearing in only one ear, state it.
Maybe you can't hear low decibel voices/sounds but everything else is the same.
