Dating yourself

That's something I've worked really, really hard for. It's something I'm proud of and it's something I'll try to share with whoever joins me next.My own feelings of loneliness were coming from a deep-seated notion that I was woefully misunderstood. The second I realized I had been unconsciously putting all the energy I would've spent getting to know someone else towards getting to know myself, my life changed: Finally someone understood me and that person was me.

What I never realized was there is a difference between wanting to spend time with people and never being alone with your own thoughts. The people I was dating constantly misunderstood me or projected certain ideas onto me that were so far from who I felt like I really was.

Learn what kind of activities you like, and what kind of activities you don't like. Here are 10 reasons why dating yourself is better than dating anyone else! It also helps you spot a true man from a mile away. Taking the time to learn what activities you like, and what activities you don't like, teaches you about yourself! Some of the best conversations I have had have been with people I have met while on my solo adventures! And if you won't treat yourself as strong, valuable and beautiful woman that you are - then who else will!

If a someone shows interest in you, but is not willing to do the things that make you happy - then he need not apply. It also makes it easier for you to identify activities to do in dating relationships as well. Whether I was taking a walk in the park, waiting in line at concessions, buying clothes at the mall, eating on a bench, reading on a plane - the conversations that I start with strangers have been right on time! After my first and failed relationship, I wasn't worried about never being happy again. You alone have the ability to treat yourself with a level of dignity and respect that no one else has!

Eventually, someone else can join this snuggly little relationship.

Until then, I want to enjoy the feeling of being alone.
